Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, and oil until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture.
  6. Divide the batter in half. To one half, add cocoa powder and water; mix well.
  7. Grease a cake pan and pour in alternating spoonfuls of pumpkin and chocolate batters.
  8. Use a knife to swirl the batters together gently.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
