Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, melt butter and mix with sugar.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  7. Stir in red food coloring until blended.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan.
  10. Spoon cream cheese mixture over the batter.
  11. Add remaining brownie batter on top.
  12. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  13. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  14. Let cool before cutting into squares.
