Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 head of garlic, cloves separated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss the chopped onions and separated garlic cloves with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread them on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 30-35 minutes until golden and tender.
  5. Let cool slightly, then squeeze the garlic out of its skins.
  6. In a bowl, combine roasted onions, garlic, cream cheese, sour cream, and thyme.
  7. Mix until smooth.
  8. Serve with chips or vegetables.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, add red pepper flakes.
