A creamy and flavorful dip made with roasted onions and garlic.
Ingredients

- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 head of garlic, cloves separated
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss the chopped onions and separated garlic cloves with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread them on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 30-35 minutes until golden and tender.
- Let cool slightly, then squeeze the garlic out of its skins.
- In a bowl, combine roasted onions, garlic, cream cheese, sour cream, and thyme.
- Mix until smooth.
- Serve with chips or vegetables.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, add red pepper flakes.
- Can be made a day ahead and chilled.
- Garnish with extra thyme before serving.
