- 2 cups chopped cabbage
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add chopped cabbage, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Cook until cabbage is tender.
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, and egg to form a dough. Add water as needed.
- Roll out half of the dough and place it in a pie dish.
- Spread the cabbage mixture over the dough.
- Roll out the remaining dough and cover the filling. Seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Can be frozen for later use.
