Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Combine the rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, stir in the vinegar mixture and let it cool.
  6. In a baking dish, spread the cooled rice evenly.
  7. In another bowl, mix the flaked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
  8. Spread the salmon mixture over the rice.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes until heated through.
  10. Garnish with nori strips and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh or canned salmon based on availability.
  • Adjust the sriracha for desired spice level.
  • Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger if desired.
