Description

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh sausage links or patties (pork, turkey, or chicken)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 6 soft bread rolls (dinner rolls, hoagies, or croissants)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Remove sausage from casings if needed and cook in a skillet over medium heat with a bit of butter or oil for 5–7 minutes until browned and fully cooked. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  4. In the same skillet, scramble eggs over medium-low heat until fluffy and just set, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Slice the rolls open and layer cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and shredded cheese inside each roll.
  6. Place assembled rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10–15 minutes until rolls are golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy warm!

Notes

Customize with vegetables like spinach or bell peppers, or add a spicy kick with hot sauce or jalapeños. Can be made ahead or frozen for convenience.
