Description

A delicious scalloped sweet potato casserole topped with a rich brown sugar sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Arrange sweet potato slices in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Pour the mixture over the sweet potato slices.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until sweet potatoes are tender.
