A delicious scalloped sweet potato casserole topped with a rich brown sugar sauce.
Ingredients

- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Arrange sweet potato slices in a greased baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour the mixture over the sweet potato slices.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until sweet potatoes are tender.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- This dish can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
