Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cups peas
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and carrots, and sauté until soft.
  4. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in tomato paste and beef broth.
  6. Add peas and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish.
  8. Top with mashed potatoes, smoothing out the surface.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden.

  • Use leftover mashed potatoes for quicker preparation.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or green beans.
  • For a twist, add cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.
