Ingredients

  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 12 large egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, sift together cake flour and half of the sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add remaining sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold in vanilla extract and the flour mixture gently.
  6. Fold in rainbow sprinkles.
  7. Pour batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Invert the pan and let the cake cool completely.
  10. Remove from the pan and serve.

Notes

  • Make sure to use fresh egg whites for best results.
  • Do not grease the pan to allow the cake to rise properly.
