Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/4 cup water
- Red food coloring
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Instructions
- Combine powdered sugar, corn syrup, peppermint extract, water, and cream of tartar in a bowl.
- Knead the mixture until smooth.
- Divide the dough into two portions.
- Add red food coloring to one portion and knead until the color is even.
- Roll both portions into thin ropes.
- Twist the ropes together and cut into small pieces.
- Allow to dry for 24 hours before serving.
