- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until combined.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add 3 cups of shredded cheese to the sauce and stir until melted.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
