Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and strawberry puree.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Pour the batter into prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool completely.
  10. For the icing, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar, adding milk until smooth.
  11. Spread icing on the cooled cakes and serve.
