Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup pureed strawberries
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla and strawberry puree.
  7. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with flour.
  8. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cakes cool before removing from pans.
