Ingredients

- 1 pound sweet Italian sausage
- 1 pound spicy Italian sausage
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add sliced bell peppers and cook until softened.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for one minute.
- Add the sausages to the skillet, cooking until browned on all sides.
- Reduce heat and cover, cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
- Serve with crusty bread or over rice.
- Adjust spice level by using more or less red pepper flakes.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days.
