Description

A flavorful dish combining sweet and spicy sausage with colorful peppers and onions.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 pound spicy Italian sausage
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add sliced bell peppers and cook until softened.
  4. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for one minute.
  5. Add the sausages to the skillet, cooking until browned on all sides.
  6. Reduce heat and cover, cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with crusty bread or over rice.
  • Adjust spice level by using more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days.
