Description
Sweet and Sticky Steak Bites are tender chunks of steak coated in a sweet and savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of beef steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger.
- Add steak pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Remove steak from the marinade and sear in the pan until browned.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Add the marinade to the pan and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
- Return the steak to the pan and coat with the sauce.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
