Description

Sweet and Sticky Steak Bites are tender chunks of steak coated in a sweet and savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of beef steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add steak pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Remove steak from the marinade and sear in the pan until browned.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  6. Add the marinade to the pan and bring to a boil.
  7. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
  8. Return the steak to the pan and coat with the sauce.
  9. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
