This turkey brine recipe enhances flavor and keeps your turkey moist.
Ingredients

- 1 cup kosher salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon allspice berries
- 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
- 1 gallon water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine salt, sugar, peppercorns, allspice, and garlic.
- Add water and stir until salt and sugar dissolve.
- Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
- Let the brine cool completely before using.
- Submerge the turkey in the brine for at least 12 hours, up to 24 hours.
Notes
- Use a non-reactive container for brining.
- Rinse the turkey after brining to remove excess salt.
- Store unused brine in the refrigerator for up to one week.
