Description

Delicious cupcakes inspired by classic creme brulee.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla bean seeds, mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  6. Fill cupcake liners with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Let cupcakes cool completely.
  8. Whip cream and top each cupcake.
  9. Sprinkle brown sugar on top and caramelize with a torch.
