Delicious cupcakes inspired by classic creme brulee.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light.
- Add eggs and vanilla bean seeds, mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
- Fill cupcake liners with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Let cupcakes cool completely.
- Whip cream and top each cupcake.
- Sprinkle brown sugar on top and caramelize with a torch.
Notes
- Store cupcakes in the fridge.
- Use a kitchen torch for caramelizing sugar.
- Serve chilled for best flavor.
